KiddyCook Harrogate

Fun, inspiration and education is what Kiddy Cook is all about, and our team are passionate about teaching kids and young people how to have fun with food. Whilst we all have different definitions of healthy, Kiddy Cook aim to use only the good stuff which means all of the recipes we choose to prepare with children taste fantastic. Most are good for us, and everyone of them makes us feel good after we've eaten it!
We deliver innovative, cross curriculum cookery workshops in school, teaching children the importance of healthy eating as part of a healthy lifestyle. Kiddy Cook also offer workshops and parties for preschoolers, children, teens and young adults, as well as delivering our children's cookery theatre at food festivals across the UK.
All of our food teachers hold enhanced DBS checks and certificates in food hygiene. We provide all of the ingredients, cooking equipment, an apron, packaging and cooking know-how! During each session kids have fun with hands-on gastronomic experiments and everyone takes home their delicious dish together with a wipe clean recipe card to cook again at home. We even wash up and clear away!

Type of support

Helping Schools put cooking on the curriculum
Kiddy Cook delivers imaginative, cross curriculum cookery workshops, teaching children the importance of healthy eating as part of a healthy lifestyle. We provide all utensils, aprons and ingredients, and recipes can be prepared without the need for cooking facilities.
School Workshop
General Workshops
Your class may be at the end of a topic and you'd like to consolidate their learning, or maybe you just want to treat them for all their hard work! We have lots of cooking activity workshops designed to 'whet your appetite' and we can also tailor sessions to suit the needs of your curriculum, topical issues or special events.
10 Week Food Foundation Programme
Food Science Workshops
Highly interactive, curriculum-led science workshops using food as the basis. We have 12 ‘whacky’ workshops that bring both cooking and science into the equation (so real value for money).
After School Club
Healthy Eating Assembly
Kiddy Cook's Sugar Shocker assembly provides a fantastic, interactive session for pupils to learn about how much sugar they should consume and how much sugar they are likely to be consuming. The session uses great visual displays which help even early years children understand the importance of thinking about what they eat.
Raising Achievement
Kiddy Cook workshops can contribute positively to raising achievement, giving students plenty of opportunities to practice a whole range of skills. Recipes and experiments are designed to enrich topics requested by your school and support the Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and 2 National Curriculum subjects
