Chirk Castle & Garden

Chirk Castle & Garden

This 13th century border fortress retains its original dungeons and fortifications, and has been home to the Myddelton family since the Tudor and Civil War periods. Some state rooms are as they were in Victorian times. The surrounding parkland, explored from Home Farm, has important features, for example Offa’s Dyke and endangered wildlife. There are handling collections plus Tudor or Stuart workshops.
