Lacock Abbey

The Abbey was founded in 1232 as a nunnery and converted into a country house after 1539. It has medieval cloisters, sacristy and chapter house, a 16th century stable court, tower and chimneys. The gothic hall was built in 1754 and was home to the Talbot family, who gave the Abbey and village to the Trust.
