Lovehayne Farm is situated in the East Devon AONB. It covers 200 acres and is a mixed farm with arable , sheep, grassland and two wooded valleys with some areas of acid heath and bog. There is evidence on the farm of Bronze Age activity. The farm is listed in the Doomesday Book and has been used for arable, cattle, pig and sheep family enterprises over the past 100 years.
Lovehayne Farm is hidden away from the road by traditional high Devon hedges and banks and situated in its own private valley. You can meet our rare breed Dorset Down sheep and horses and ponies on the farm. There are bantams and guinea-fowl roaming loose in the yard in front of the cottages, and call ducks and mallard on the ponds in the valley. Children are welcome to help feed them and collect any eggs. The ducks love any spare breadcrumbs too.
