This 140-hectare arable farm grows winter and spring wheat, winter oil seed rape, sugar beet and manages set-aside. Natural features comprise woodland, the River Worfe (with lakes, a shallow ford, wetland and withy beds) and a variety of hedges (newly planted and mature) containing a variety of trees. A Countryside Stewardship scheme is in place that adopts an integrated approach which combines agricultural production with conservation. Arable crops include winter wheat, oil seed rape and sugar beet. A wide range of Countryside Stewardship options enhance the existing natural habitats providing food sources and cover for a variety of wildlife.
