Woodroberts

Woodroberts

Woodroberts can be traced back to the late 16th century and there are many features of this particularly unusual property that have not changed in the last 400 years. The farm buildings are highly original with a thatched Devon longhouse and a quadrangle of outhouses around a grass yard. The land (now only 32 acres, though originally 200: maps are available from the turn of the century) comprises several small meadows, all of which have their own features (mud banks/hedgerows, etc) plus culm/woodland/quarry. Wildlife is extremely diverse and plantlife equally so. The farm is currently run as a small enterprise with an emphasis on traditional methods and unusual/rare breeds.
