Durham University Botanic Garden

Set in mature woodland on the outskirts of Durham City, the Botanic Garden can offer a range of educational opportunities and experiences for children. Our glasshouse displays plants from the rain forest, desert and the Mediterranean. We have displays of tropical insects and bugs. Around the garden we have a woodland garden, alpine garden, bamboo grove, beehive and bee garden, birdhide, plants from around the world.
