Britton Farm is a 400 acre arable and livestock farm situated between Wingham and Ickham and bounded by the Wigham river and Ickham gravel pit lakes. The upland used to grow crops including wheat, oilseed rape, peas and in some years potatoes. The marshland is grass used for sheep farming with a seventy strong flock of Texel cross ewes producing lambs each year in March. There is also a horse livery enterprise. The farmer is fourth generation on the farm. There is an abundance of bird species in particular water birds and birds of prey along the river valley.
