The College Farm

The College Farm offers a fantastic opportunity to experience outdoor learning on a working farm. Come and meet our cows, sheep and hens, and learn more about the field to fork story. We are happy to link your visit with any part of the cirriculum, and can offer you the chance to try your hand at cooking and craft activities in our new, purpose built Lodge. We are passionate about supporting our varied natural habitats around the farm. Come and explore them with us through the changing seasons.

We offer cooking including bread, pizza, and soup, and are happy to fit this within cirriculum needs (for example DT where recipe design is a requirement).

Our philosophy is to create a visit to fit in with the visitors needs. Every visit here is different, and we encourage a pre visit to alllow us to come up with a suitable plan.

Pricing

We can offer a number of 2 hour funded visits for qualifying groups, and give discounted rates to local community groups. Please speak with us to confirm eligibility, or for our standard rates.

Accreditations

CEVAS Accredited

This place has CEVAS accredited personnel.

CEVAS stands for Countryside Educational Visits Accreditation Scheme. A nationally recognised accreditation, the scheme offers training for individuals who are working – or plan to work – with groups of school children, young people or clients with additional needs.

Other Accreditations

Forest Schools Level 3 Qualified Staff member. One member of staff has a degree in Biology. Both staff members have a Forest Schools First Aid Qualification. Both have Food Hygiene qualifications
