Humblescough Farm is a small family farm run by Robert and Diana Cornthwaite. The farm is part of a Higher Level Stewardship environmental scheme and we are passionate about improving the environment for wildlife. Work has been undertaken on restoring a large wildlife pond, creating scrapes for breeding waders and managing an area of wetland. There has been extensive planting of native species trees in the woodlands and around the farm . As a result there is a rich diversity of plants and wildlife. The woodlands are a fantastic environment for taking part in forest skills activities, exploring the natural world and observing the changes in the seasons . We offer farm visits for schools and these are led by Diana who is an experienced primary school teacher and Laurence Seddon - a qualified Level 3 Forest Schools practitioner.
