Did you know the world's longest earthworm according to the Guinness World Records was found in South Africa in 1967. The giant specimen measured a huge 6.7 metres long!
UK earthworms are much smaller in comparison with the longest ever recorded being 40 cm long.
What's the longest worm you can find?
Take a picture of your worm next to a ruler and send to:
[email protected]
for a chance to be entered into our prize draw to win a free wormery kit for your child.
The competition runs from now until the end of spring term which should help you , as of course earthworms are cold blooded and will be hiding themselves! Good luck!
