Foxrush Farm Community Woodland is a 45 hectare site located outside Redcar on the southern fringe of Dormanstown. It has boundaries along Meggitts Lane to the west and Kirkleatham Lane to the east. The area was planted with a mixture of trees in December 1997. It is managed by Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council's Countryside Section and is part of the Tees Forest. Redcar & Cleveland's Countryside Section and Museum Service team up with the archaeologists to provide educational visits for local schools with activities relating to 'Invaders and Settlers' within the curriculum. Groups have enjoyed guided tours of the excavation, woodland walks and Iron Age activities.
