Eden Play

Over the summer holidays, Eden Play has been working with schools around the country to create natural, educational environments inspired by trees, water, sand, mud and insects – all the things children tell us they want in their outdoors!

Stimulating outdoor learning environments bring a variety of benefits to children from improved learning and academic results to improved health and wellbeing.  Leamington Primary School wanted to transform their dull, grey yard into a green, engaging and inspiring outdoor environment. The School Council wanted somewhere for KS2 children to climb, clamber and ‘let off steam’ during playtimes, while the school’s SEN advisor wanted to create a quiet, calm, sensory space.

The installation included:

  • Sensory area with convex and concave mirrors, weaving panels, mark-making board & corner pergola
  • Clamber stack with parallel ropes & fireman’s pole
  • Crow’s nest swing
  • Artificial grass topped stage with mark making board
  • Amphitheatre seating
  • Sensory planters and tree planters
  • Corner seating
  • Tree seat
  • Artificial grass
  • Picket fencing with annotated entrance signage
  • Artificial living wall

Whether you are looking for an art station, construction counter, bug hotel, mud kitchen, trim trail, cave, hobbit house or want to completely transform your outdoor space with natural water play, beaches with boardwalks and beautiful wooden challenge structures with slides, ropes and climbing walls - let us work with you to get the most out of your project and budget! We offer a free site visit and design service and will even work with you to help secure funding for your project.
