You can grow your own fragrant basil, chives or thyme plants every time you butter
your bread thanks to a partnership between Yeo Valley Organic and Garden Organic.
Yeo Valley Organic’s Spreadable packs are the cream of the crop this spring, with every
tub offering shoppers free herb seeds to grow at home.

There will be three herb packs, sourced from the Organic Gardening Catalogue, to
collect from mid-April to June with growing instructions and advice from the
sustainable gardening charity.

“Spring has sprung in your spread this month!” says Garden Organic’s CEO Fiona
Taylor. “We’re really delighted to be teaming up with Yeo Valley Organic for this lovely
giveaway. Just a sprig of herbs can elevate a sandwich to another level and we’re
showing that they’re really easy to grow. You could even fill the empty tubs with
compost and grow them on a sunny windowsill.”

Holly Twiss, Yeo Valley Organic brand manager, said: “We know that great organic
dairy starts from the ground up so we’re proud to be partnering with Garden Organic
to give our shoppers an extra special treat. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a keen
gardener or just starting out, we want to inspire everyone to make good food choices
and experience the joy of delicious home-grown food.”

Garden Organic will also be Yeo Valley Organic’s charity of the quarter between April
and June.

“It couldn’t be a better partnership,” adds Fiona. “Yeo Valley Organic share our organic
ethos and a commitment to bringing delicious sustainable food to people that’s grown
in a way that nurtures the soil, reduces food waste and supports the planet.”

The delicious dairy offer will be available on 170,000 400g packs of Yeo Valley Organic
Spreadable – a blend of organic butter and rapeseed oil - while stocks last. The product
will be available in Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Asda stores.
Feeling lucky? Between 22 April and 6 May there’ll also be a chance to win one of 10

Go-Round’ competition.

About Garden Organic

Garden Organic promotes organic growing and composting, citizen science and
research, and seed conservation through its Heritage Seed Library. Its aim is to help
people grow 'the organic way', using natural methods to promote healthy, biodiverse,
sustainable gardens.

Founded in the 1950s as the Henry Doubleday Research Association, it has been
leading the way in researching and demonstrating best practice organic growing for
more than 65 years and brings together a movement of thousands of growers keen to
have a positive impact on the green space they nurture. Its founder Henry Doubleday
promoted comfrey as a food and forage crop in the late 19th century.
Garden Organic is the home of the Heritage Seed Library – the National Collection of
vegetable varieties. Through seed conservation and sharing, it protects more than 800
heritage, heirloom and landrace vegetable varieties that would otherwise have been
lost forever. The library is a vital resource to connect people with seed, keep our food
heritage alive and preserve biodiversity. For more information visit
