One of the standout moments at this year’s Alcester Food Festival was the Food Educators Brunch, a new initiative funded and organised by Countryside Classroom. The brunch brought together food educators, nutritionists, local producers, charitable organisations, and community advocates to engage in meaningful discussions over a delicious locally‑sourced menu

The event emphasised the crucial role of food education in shaping healthier, more sustainable futures. With participants exchanging insights on cooking skills, food origins, and nutritional awareness, organisers heralded the brunch as a vital platform for collaboration and community impact.

Elizabeth Lake of Countryside Classroom described it as “a unique platform for education professionals, food enthusiasts and community groups to connect, collaborate and share insights…”

The brunch drew a strong turnout, matching the energy of the wider festival, which featured over 100 stalls and attracted more than 10,000 visitors to Alcester’s town centre.
