Dunster Castle

The fortified home of the Luttrell family for 600 years, Dunster castle dates back to the 13th century. It was remodelled by Anthony Salvin in the 19th century and boasts a fine 17th century staircase and plaster ceilings. The surroundings include a terraced garden of rare shrubs, an 11.3ha park and a working water-mill nearby, run by the tenant.
