Wandlebury Country Park

Wandlebury Country Park

Wandlebury was a private estate up until 1954 when it was acquired by the Cambridge Preservation Society, which manages it as a country park and nature reserve. The site dates from the Iron Age and a circular ditch remaining from the hill fort is a prominent feature in the landscape. The site offers a nature trail, woodlands, hegerows, wild flower meadows and chalk grassland and a traditional orchard with an observation bee hive.

The Society has recently opened an attractive new Education Centre at Wandlebury, provided from the careful restoration of a former stable block.
