While efficiently producing wholesome food, a philosophy called Integrated Farm Management (IFM), is used to take great care of the natural environment. IFM seeks to harmonise nature and the science of food production, ensuring pollution is minimised, the landscape is enhanced and wildlife habitats that produce bio-diversity are encouraged. A traditional 270 acre farm in the North York Moor National Park, starting at the waters edge and climbing to 500ft bordering the moorland. Stoupe Brow Cottage Farm is an excellent demonstration of how a small farm is striving to farm in both an environmentally responsible way and at the same time being economically viable. Here, traditional farming goes hand in hand with the targeted use of modern technology.
