Wateringbury Pear Orchards

Wateringbury Pear Orchards

The orchards lie at the heart of the village on a north-facing slope. They are bounded on three sides by houses with a bridle path along the southern boundary. A stream running west to east divides the pear orchard from the apple orchard. The pears were planted some 70 years ago and the apples more recently. The orchards are farmed organically.
