M.D. Leckford Estate the Waitrose Farm

The Estate consists of some 1350 hectares in a ring fence, divided almost equally by the River Test, running north and south, and some two miles upstream from Stockbridge and four miles south of Andover. The soil is mostly loam over chalk with occasional clay caps and further occasional peaty reclaimed "Down" soil.  222.58 hectares water meadows (fishing), golf course (60.70 hectares), steep banks, ornamental gardens (60.70 hectares), woodland, roads, buildings, cottages, poplar plantations (60.70 hectares). There is a free range egg unit, dairy, milk processing, fruit farm and much more.
