Fanshawe is a mixed upland smallholding on the edge of the Peak District, containing a series of pastures running down a steep slope to a stream in a narrow valley. Some of the small fields are very rich in plants and fungi and woodland, old field patterns, walls and hedgerows are all contained on site.
