Pannel Farm lies in the Pannel valley adjoining the Pannel Valley Nature Reserve on the opposite side of the Petty Sewer. The land extends towards Pett village and joins another Stewardship site at "Innisfree". Twenty acres of marshland along the Petty is in permanent set-aside, providing excellent habitat for birds such as skylarks and reed buntings. The remainder of the farm is in an arable/grass rotation growing first and second early potatoes and combinable crops. The grass is utilised by grazing sheep.
