Tickford Field Farm was enclosed in 1806 and was formally a medieval 3 field system. There is an historical Bronze Age hut, circles and ditches. The house platforms and ditches are mediaeval and there is an 18th/19th century tile quarry, Roman road, mediaeval butts and a Saxon grave. The grass meadow, hedge and furrow have been untouched since 1806 and old grassland has not been sprayed or reseeded. It is mainly an arable enterprise with old potatoes. To be grazed with small beef cattle.
