Treloan Portscatho

The area, which is wetland and often described as moor, consists of enclosures and ditches which are probably medieval in origin. The boundaries are still in evidence, giving an historical aspect to the site. Of interest is the relationship to the larger fields around the farmhouse and how the area was used in relation to these larger fields. We intend to clear areas of scrub and return fields to their original state. Some of the wooded areas we will leave to nature and some we will manage with biodiversity in mind.
