We aim to conserve wildlife and to promote conservation within the County of Durham, City of Sunderland and the Boroughs of Gateshead, South Tyneside and Darlington. Activities for schools take place at Low Barns Nature Reserve, Witton-le-Wear, Rainton Meadows Nature Reserve near Houghton-le-Spring, Bowlees Visitor Centre in the upland habitat of Teesdale, Hylton Dene in Sunderland and Herrington County Park opposite Penshaw Monument.
