The Visitor Centre is 6 miles SW of Colchester. The site offers excellent birdwatching opportunities over the 1200 acre reservoir, which is a Wetland of International Importance.
Our People & Wildlife team of 15 staff and nearly 50 volunteers offer a range of education services to meet your pupils' learning needs. All formal activities are national curriculum linked and cover areas in the science, geography, citizenship and history curricula.
