Anglian Bird Watching Centre

Rutland Water is a most important winter wildfowl sanctuary, regularly holding over 20,000 waterfowl. Three lagoons and 9 miles of shore and open water are overlooked by a total of 22 hides. Visitors are welcomed at two visitor centres, one at Egleton and the other at Lyndon Hill. A wide variety of habitats ensures that many species of birds are present throughout the year.
