The UK's largest garden zoo - 50 hectares, 500 species and about 5000 animals! From tiny seahorses to elephants, many of our animals are endangered and are part of international breeding programmes. We try to keep all our animals in enclosures that are as spacious, stimulating and natural as possible. For visitors, there are talks running throughout the year introducing our animals and giving fun, interesting information about them. For educational groups, we offer a range of taught sessions given by qualified teachers.
