Old Moor's 100 hectares of diverse wildlife habitats ranges from open water, marsh and reedbeds, to flower-rich meadows. There is a superb visitor centre in restored farm buildings, which houses a classroom, shop, café and toilets. A number of bird viewing hides and wildlife ponds provide a great opportunity for pupils to get a closer look at the Dearne Valley's fascinating wild creatures.
