An excellent variety of habitats are within easy reach of the centre including rocky shores, freshwater, sand dunes, rivers, bog and heathland as well as carboniferous limestone, shale, intrusive igneous rocks and glacial deposits. There is also the opportunity to study of rural and urban environments as well as very interesting cross border socio-political work.
