The short (but exciting) ferry crossing from Southampton or Portsmouth takes you to a world where there is beauty, interest and excitement. Carisbrooke Castle was built by the Normans, and is a popular site for a day visit. Osborne House, the home of Queen Victoria, is a popular venue.
