Visitor Centre with many environmental features: electricity generated by photovoltaic panels and a wind turbine, warm air heating through the United Kingdom's first ventilated photovoltaic array , solar water collectors provide all year hot water, rainwater collection and storage for toilet flushing, sewage treatment through a BioDisc sewage treatment unit,  insulation provided by recycled newsprint, rockwool and polystyrene, passive solar gain through a south facing inset conservatory, examples of double, triple and argon filled glazing, earth bank protection on the north side to increasing thermal mass, exploiting natural light by using internal glazing to allow 'daylighting' . Set in 67 acres of Country Park.
