Pound Green Common is a rare survival of common land, managed in the traditional way. Not only do the commoners run sheep and goats, but they are also actively involved in restoring lowland heath habitat. There are opportunities for students to get involved with the management/conservation work in a safe and beautiful location. Environmental studies are encouraged and facilities are offered for sixth-form field work in a varied environment, with scope for original work.
