Rectory Meadow site comprises of unimproved chalk grassland with adjoining scrub and woodland. There are unusual and interesting species including orchids. The management of the site is aimed at increasing the area of chalk grassland without compromising other habitat types. This is achieved through volunteer assistance. The current use of the site is for local recreation, e.g. walking, and educational visits.
