Visit the Lake District National Park Education Centre at Brockhole, for a series of led sensory awareness games exploring the environment through use of the five senses. Visit Whinlatter Forest Park for orienteering in the morning then on to the Beacon Centre at Whitehaven. The Beacon tells the story of Whitehaven's social, maritime and industrial heritage using characters, sounds, graphics and audio-visual presentations. The Beacon's Meteorological Office Weather Gallery is a unique facility, which uses low and high tech interactives to enable visitors to learn about the weather.
