Aston Rowant National Nature Reserve twinned with Field Farm

Aston Rowant National Nature Reserve twinned with Field Farm

Aston Rowant is owned and managed by Natural England and is one of England's finest nature reserves.  Comprised of 400 acres of chalk grassland and beech woodland it is well known for its wildflowers and as the best place to see Red Kites. We also have 300 sheep and a small herd of goats you can meet!

The site welcomes visitors all year round and school and community groups can recieve tailor made visits free of charge. You can download our free curriculum linked education pack from our website, aimed at KS2 with adaptable activities for all ages, just call us to discuss your requirements. We are very flexible and have lots of fun and creative activities for you to try.

We are now offering free joint visits with Field Farm Lewknor, allowing schools to spend the morning on the farm and take an exciting trailer ride to the nature reserve for the afternoon, this really shows how farming and conservation can work together!

Staff are CEVAS trained and CRB checked, full risk assessments are available.
