BEECHE (Bromley Environmental Education Centre at High Elms)

BEECHE (Bromley Environmental Education Centre at High Elms) is situated in 100 hectares of High Elms Country Park. The park has a wide range of habitats from woodlands and hedgerows to freshwater ponds, providing an ideal resource for environmental and fieldwork activities. The site is steeped in history, with remnants of Victorian gardens and has a close link with Darwin and his research.

BEECHE has two large teaching rooms with cloakroom and toilet facilities and is fully accessible. Courses are curriculum linked and are based in and around the natural environment. Activities are practical and involve hands on participation, with the aim of not only teaching a particular subject, but encouraging an interest and respect for the natural world.   Teaching staff are qualified and have expertise in Environmental Science, Ecology, Forest Schools are 1st Aid trained and can provide Risk Assessments.
