Tees Valley Wildlife Trust - Portrack Marsh

Portrack Marsh is situated on the north bank of the River Tees just below the Tees Barrage.  The reserve's main lake (West Water) provides good opportunities to see over wintering duck and summer visitors such as the Grasshopper Warbler.  The lake is fringe by Common Reed and Reedmace and the fluctuating water levels dictate what birds can be seen.
