Upper Moreton Farm

Upper Moreton Farm

We are a traditional grassland farm set on the outskirts of Cannock Chase in the Trent Valley.

We keep rare breed Gloucester cattle, pigs, goats, hens and donkeys

We are dedicated to our farming, combining modern techiniques with environmental conservation.

We make hay from flower rich meadows

Our old hedgerows support a wild plum of Staffordshire

We are passionate about our wildlife, namely barn owl, brown hare and snipe

The farm has several wildlife ponds

One member of staff has fourteen years experience as a rural project leader for special needs individuals and is also CEVAS trained

Activities include:

Animal husbandry

Growing vegetables

Field to fork cooking activities

Wildlife and conservation - habit creation, mini beast hunting, bird watching and making bird boxes

Awareness and respect for the countryside

Activities can be devised to suit the group or to meet the needs of the National Curriculum
