Designated as a Local Nature Reserve, this park is a haven for wildlife within the heart of industrial Teesside. It has 150 acres of mixed wetland, meadows, reedbeds and ponds. An environmental education programme is delivered by site based rangers and includes pond dipping, minibeast studies, habitats and animal adaptations. School facilities include a visitor centre and gift shop.
