Windy Pike is a 500 acre beef and sheep farm in the Ribble Valley. It is a family business with 150 Aberdeen-Angus cows producing finished beef and pedigree stock for breeding, and there is a flock of 400 sheep producing prime lambs for the market. Two full time staff are employed and live on the farm. The farm is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty with 25 acres of part ancient woodland and some new plantings. Hedge planting and restoration is an ongoing project. The River Ribble forms the southern boundary and salmon can be seen spawning in November.
