New House Farm

New House Farm is a National Trust owned farm situated within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The farm consists of superb hay meadows, grazing pastures and limestone cliff on and around the farm and is so rich in flora that it was declared a National Nature Reserve in 2000. The hay meadows are considered to be some of the finest in the Yorkshire Dales and as such the farm is of considerable importance to nature conservation. Livestock on the farm consists of sheep and cattle. The sheep are pure bred Cheviots and the cattle are Dexters and the farm still maintains traditional farming techniques from the 1950
