Old Orchard

A late Victorian orchard of about 1.1 ha copsed until the early 1950s and kept for amenity use afterwards, It contains about 50 apple varieties. Some trees may be of the original planting. Woodland shelter belt adjacent. The area is maintained to favour wildlife and to preserve the varieties.
