Castleside Farm is a large organic mixed dairy and arable farm in the Sandstone Ridge area of Cheshire, next to Beeston Castle. 300 Pedigree Holstein Friesians and 150 young stock are kept, and sheep are brought down from the Welsh hills in the winter. The farm has good populations of farmland birds such as skylark, grey partridge, yellowhammer and lapwing as well as brown hares, barn owl, great crested newts and water voles. They grow a variety of crops including triticale, lupins and beans for animal food.
