Walworth Moor Farm

The farm is 300 acres in size and has 300 breeding sheep with lambs, 100 store cattle and 150 acres of winter barley. The farmstead dates back to medieval times and is close to an ancient settlement that was based at Walworth. We are working the farm into producing good quality food while balancing the needs for the local wildlife and birds under the Higher Level Stewardship scheme. Our main target species are tree sparrows, curlews and lapwings. This is being done by introducing bird boxes and taking land out of intensive farming to create a natural habitat for birds.
