Lime Tree Farm is situated on a quiet country lane just outside the pretty village of Grewelthorpe within the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). It is approximately 11km (7 miles) NW of Ripon. Since 1996 the land has been in an Environmental Stewardship Scheme currently run by Natural England. The main aim is to run the farm as a nature reserve with farming activities arranged to promote conservation. There are numerous features of interest and activities possible on the farm. The authentic Iron Age roundhouse, stone circle and tepee are particular feature unique to the farm. The site has proved to be very popular with teachers and children alike.
