The front and rear parklands are located in the centre of the village of Tissington on either side of Tissington Hall. The Parklands are managed by The Tissington Estate and the pasture is lightly grazed by sheep and cattle from nearby Estate farms. The front Parkland is understood to have been the former site of an old manor house and there is evidence of earth banks beside Tissington Church. While the rear parkland has a ridge and furrow landscape and is rich in flora characteristics of unimproved grassland.
