Oldhay consists of 35 acres of permanent pasture, most of which is species-rich grassland. The farm is grazed by traditional breeds of cattle and sheep. As well as the grasslands there are marshy wetland areas, woodland and riverine habitats. There is an old orchard and an old carting lane which is now disused. Of particular interest are a disused mill leat, wheel pit and historical buildings which are the subject of a restoration programme.
