Kitley Caves

A mixture of woodland and old overgrown water meadow with a disused railway embankment running through the middle whilst the River Yealm forms a boundary on one side. There are limestone caves, limekilns, two quarry faces and an old orchard. Stone age artefacts have been found on the site along with the remains of elephant, hyena and bear.
