Maddle Farm is situated in the middle of the Berkshire downs and the North Wessex Downs AONB. The farm is predominantly arable with wide open fields, typical of this landscape. The remains of a Roman villa lie underneath one of these fields, although nothing can be seen above ground. The farm is abundant with farmland birds.
